Packing, Ugg! Where did this stuff come from?

Before the fun can start, there is LOTS of work to do.  Today the task at hand is packing for the big move.  Where did all this stuff come from?  And more importantly, what to do with it?  We have lived in our place for two years now, and I have boxes that haven't been opened the entire time.  That's right, boxes from my move from AZ 5 years ago.  This stuff was important to me at one time, so do I keep it?  Donate it?  Sell it?  Speaking of selling stuff, we listed some things on craigslist, who would have known a ten year old VCR would have more interest than a PS3.  I have learned that this move is unlike most moves.  In most moves you just throw your stuff in a box, and say we'll unpack it in a few days at our new place across town.  Our situation is different.  Kinda like packing for a really long  vacation.  So right now my house is split in three piles:  Storage, RV, and Donate/Sell.  This is a lot of work, but probably something that should be done every few years, anyway.  Going through my "stuff" helps me to keep what is most important to me, and get rid of the rest.  Wish me luck on the packing.

The Adventure Begins

We're going to see this Beautiful Country of ours!  This is our answer when someone asks what we were thinking when we decided to pack up our things, buy an RV, and live in it for the next few years.  We will agree this is unconventional.  But doesn't it sound like FUN?  When we have explained our situation to people, we have gotten such a variety of responses.  Anything from people saying we are crazy, to "that's so cool", to "aren't you guys too young to live in an RV", and my favorite "WOW, I'm jealous!".  One thing is certain, there will be challenges along the way.  But my Dad always said, "No Guts, No Glory!".  And this is certainly the guttiest thing I've ever done.  So here we go!
